Against the backdrop of what is happening in Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua, Ecuador and Venezuela to analyze the causes of damage or resulted where institutional rickets these nations and authoritarian regimes where democracy seems limited to the electoral process in the best case. Are these governments a new threat to the institutional and democracies in the region? Or rather, has been the lack of institutionalization of real political and economic freedoms and the absence of the rule of law in the region that has spawned almost cyclical return of our people to embrace the electoral messianism and from there to survive in regimes totalitarian.
